Marina Stavrou was born in Athens, Greece. She got her BA on English Literature at the School of Philosophy in Athens while was parallely working with super 8 film and writing as a film critic. In 2009-2010 she followed a master in fine art at the Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design. She works with 8 and 16mm film and her work has been screened at festivals in Europe and Canada.
