John Butler lives and works in Glasgow as a freelance 3D animator, mostly for television. Has been making computer graphic work since the late eighties, heavily influenced by the form and language of corporate communications. The work is generally diagrammatic rather than melodramatic, and makes heavy use of motion capture and simplified cgi to create a form of presentation that recalls education and training materials.
